CaddieMasterPro -- Version 2 Features
CaddieMasterPro is being enhanced on a regular basis. Here are just a few of the new features that have been added. Most are the direct result of requests from our established base of users. We take pride in the fact that we listen when golfers like you, out there in the real world of pars and bogies, make suggestions on how to improve the program.
-
ON-LINE HELP:
Extensive on-line help has been added. It is now possible to use your right mouse button to click on many elements (command buttons, labels, etc.) and thereby invoke the instant display of an explanatory message. Even more help messages will be added over time.
-
ELEGANT HANDLING OF 9-HOLE ROUNDS: The handling of 9-hole rounds has been greatly enhanced. The user can choose, at score entry time, to enter scores for the front 9, the back 9 or the full 18 holes. 9-hole rounds can be combined using the Rapid Entry screen to create 18-hole rounds suitable for handicap calculation. The spreadsheet now supports the optional display of just 9-hole rounds and, when this is done, the program will display a 9-hole handicap.
-
STROKES OVER PAR GRAPH: For those golfers that tend to play the same courses on a regular basis, the program now supports the display of a graph that shows the average strokes over par for each of the 18 holes played for a designated course. This graph shows applicable values for the most recent round played AND for up to 10 earlier rounds.
-
IMPROVED REPORTING: The "Summary of Handicap Rounds by Golfer" report has been enhanced significantly. Many of features will be of particular interest to users of the Club version. It is now possible to include several blank lines at the beginning of a report for a particular golfer thus facilitating the entry of scores to be submitted to a Handicap Coordinator. It is now possible to optionally invoke the printing of a one-line analysis of a golfer's handicap trend. The user can optionally print summary stats for a defined number of rounds. The best rounds of the ones printed are now shown in a bold font to better facilitate handicap analysis.
-
"GETTING STARTED" WIZARD: The program now supports a new command button labeled "Getting Started WIZARD". The clicking of this button leads the user through the basic steps needed to prepare the program for regular use. These steps include (1) the setting up of a home golf course; (2) the setting up of the default golfer and (3) the definition of basic configuration information.
-
GOLF COURSE AREAS ARE NOW EASIER TO SET UP: The creation of a new golf course area to be linked to a new golf course has been made more intuitive by directly linking that process to the creation of a new golf course.
-
DEFINING THE DEFAULT GOLFER IS NOW EASIER: The allocation of the "default golfer" status has been made more intuitive by directly linking it to the process of setting up a new golfer.
